Hi there, I’m Janet!
If you’re looking for me, there’s a good chance I’m at Scarborough Beach. As a member of the Scarboro Surf Lifesaving Club, I don’t just love the view—I’m in the thick of it. Whether I’m training on my surf ski, competing in club swims, or braving the ocean right through a Perth winter, the water is where I recharge.
40 Years Behind the Lens
Photography has been my life’s work. My journey started at just 20 years old, shooting weddings alongside my Mother. I spent the first two decades of my career capturing the "I dos" of Perth, before moving into my true specialty for the next 20 years: Family Portraiture and Corporate Photography. It was during this time that I earned the title of Master Photographer with 5 gold bars from the Australian Institute of Professional Photography. I am so proud to see that creative spark continue with my daughter, Jonelle, who is a successful portrait photographer in her own right.
The Next Chapter: A Full Circle Moment
I’m embracing a beautiful new evolution. I have officially qualified as a Marriage Celebrant, which feels like a true full-circle moment. My career began with weddings and my love for those "big life moments" has never been stronger.
